Kai Kan Karate

Kyokushin Kaikan Karate is a martial art that emphasizes rigorous training, discipline, and full-contact sparring. With its roots in traditional Japanese karate, Kyokushin is known for its strict training regimen and technical system. The essence of Kyokushin lies in the development of a sound body and the cultivation of a pure human nature. The martial art aims to correctly inherit the traditional Japanese culture of karate and promote the spirit of karate martial art through dedicated training.

Sosai Masutatsu OYAMA

Sosai Masutatsu OYAMA born on June 4, 1923, Oyama learned kenpo in his childhood. He later learned karate under Master Gichin Funakoshi and won the All Japan Karate Championship in 1947. Oyama is renowned for mastering secret techniques, such as fighting 52 bulls, and cutting a beer bottle. In 1952, he traveled to the U.S. and introduced karate by competing with professional wrestlers. He founded the International Karate Organization Kyokushin Kaikan in 1964, advocating full-contact karate. Oyama played a pivotal role in popularizing Kyokushin karate globally, establishing a martial arts organization with 12 million members across 130 countries. He passed away from lung cancer at the age of 70 in 1994.

Daihyo Ryuko Take

Currently, Ryuko Take Born in Kagoshima Prefecture, Take entered the Honbu Dojo at 18 and trained under Sosai Masutatsu Oyama. He is renowned for his powerful Tsuki (punch) and Gedan (lower kick). In 1981, Take established a branch dojo in Kagoshima Prefecture, and there are now 59 dojos in the region. He currently serves as the President of the International Karate Organization World Kyokushin Kaikan and holds the rank of 8th Dan.

Shihan Vasant Kumar Singh began his journey in Kyokushin Karate in 1987. His dedication and passion for the martial art led him to make significant efforts to uplift and propagate Kyokushin Karate in India.

Recognizing the potential and the need for Kyokushin Karate in India, he laid the cornerstone and started The Kyokushin Karate Foundation of India in 2013, with currently more than 100 dojos in india.
